Traditionally, the only way to prevent undesirable access by ladder was to remove the ladder. All this will change shortly with the introduction of a simple device that, when hooked and locked to a ladder, will totally pervent persons ascending the ladder.

Perhaps the greatest invention since cats-eyes and the non-stick frying pan!

By using a LAPT^TM on a ladder ...

• Employers and occupiers can be assured that they are doing all that is reasonable to prevent unlawful / unsafe access via ladders.
• It eliminates the need to remove ladders to prevent use, and
• The need to lash scaffold boards to ladders to prevent access.

Features :

• Trouble-free storage, in minimum space when not in use.
• Long lasting, high resilience and relatively inexpensive to purchase.
• Simple to fit and lock.
• Potential trespassers or unauthorised user cannot ascend a ladder fitted with the LAPT^TM because they cannot locate their feet on the rungs on the ladder.

The LAPT^TM consists of two components, described below, and is secured by the application of a padlock.

• A centre plate with a formed top arm. This fits over a rung of the ladder.
• The bottom arm adjusts through a slide and when fitted over a lower run of a ladder, connected by a padlock (included), provides a firm irremovable lock device.

Specifications

• Manufactured in plate metal, powder coated with a white finish.
• "No Entry" self-adhesive sign included.
• Deep hooks on both top and bottom arms to prevent persons defeating the device and removing it without the padlock key.
